A Rhyme Resolve

I’ll aim this year to pen a rhyme
a verse that scans and pleases
a perfect stanza rhythm in time
some cheeky taunts and teases

Writing rhyme is what I do
a sort of niggling obligation
avoiding things I should eschew
strange words like trepidation

The Unlucky Bakton 13

Just another pie in the sky, end is nigh thing

The Thirteenth Bakton came and went
as of course we all surmised
no destruction heaven sent
just a few are sure surprised

What is it with the end of days
all this need for dread and fear
this melancholy sad malaise
ancient nonsense truths veneer

Exorcising Amos

I’m clearing out my cupboards
reducing so much clutter
findings things I could have used
indignantly I mutter

I’ll put  that back it’s really good
this time I won’t forget
stacked neatly with the other stuff
which I haven’t quite used yet

Amos = All Manner Of  S**t
The right time for a major clear out is whenever you think it is.

The Waiting Room

Quietly just sitting there
waiting for my turn
maybe one or two in front
not really my concern

Casually I look around
fixating on a spot
is there something I might say
stay silent better not

The Waiting Room was a very popular rhyme of mine. Mind you, a lot of credit goes to the scene as above.

A Witch with a Hitch

The Flying Spaghetti Monster is proven

Helen Duncan Callender girl
from the spirited world of tedium
through sleight of hand this charlatan
at large a fraudulent medium

Bridged the chasm with ectoplasm
and fumbled with your jewellery
claiming other worldliness
slippery customer of tomfoolery
